Golf Opens the Spring with a 10th Place Finish at William & Mary Invitational

The Drexel golf team opened its spring season with a 10th place finish at the William & Mary Invitational. The final round of the tournament, which featured 22 schools, took place at the River Course at Kingsmill. Campbell University won the tournament by three strokes over St. John's.
Sean Semenetz (Tyler Hill, Pa./Sullivan West) was Drexel's top finisher in the tournament. The sophomore shot a one-over-par 72 in the first round and finished with a 148 overall. His score tied for 20th at the invitational. Fellow sophomore Frank Petrash (Hatboro, Pa./Hatboro-Horsham) was two shots behind Semenetz at 150. Senior Jack Wallace (Beverly, N.J./Rancocas Valley) rebounded from an 80 in the first round to shoot a 73 on the second day. Junior Steve Ransom (Cape May, N.J./Lower Cape May) finished at 156, while junior Patrick Hardin (Bethlehem, Pa./Freedom) had a 162.
The Dragons are back in action on Saturday when they travel to Grasonville, Md. to play in the Lacrosse Homes Collegiate Invitational hosted by Towson.
